HRV Age

We have recently developed an algorithm that calculates the user’s HRV age from to their health metrics, making it easier for users to see how good their health really is.

If your HRV age is lower than your chronological age, you’re in good health. It also provides the benefit that users can see the age reversing benefits of a health lifestyle.

The two dominant factors to lower your HRV age are exercise and sleep. Often the two go together, as people who exercise regularly sleep better.

There are other factors that affect your HRV age. Stress, alcohol, smoking, poor diet and conflict all have a negative impact.

Stress is a separate HRV metric and invariably users know the source of their stress. The metric is there as a reminder to address the problem, before it kills you.

Many of our users have a positive variance between their actual age and their HRV age. Our leading example is one of Switzerland’s leading veteran runners, who has an HRV age of 20, even though he is in his sixties. Proof positive of the benefits of exercise.

The HRV age appears on the results screen, when there is no health alert. It is also available on the HRV results page on the HRV Health platform.
