After 24 days, the impact of the hunger strike can be seen in the above table.
The most notable changes are the decline in health which is 18.6% and the drop in weight at 3.9%;
Without food, a person is expected to live for three to four weeks. These figures show the accuracy of that expectation.
There has been absolutely no response from the Chamoson authority to date.
As of 4 July 2026, the hunger strike is suspended.
The data reveals some interesting results. The overall decline in health is as expected, with the last days showing a dramatic decline in health. But not everything is bad. At the start of the hunger strike, blood pressure was showing signals of hypertension. That dropped significantly during the first week, as the cleaning process took effect. Proof of the benefit of fasting.
Over the past two years we have been comparing the results of the HRV Health system to the data produced by a Garmin Fenix 7 Solar. The Fenix figure are completely unreliable, with the error on one day being almost 400% and frequently the error margin was in excess of 50%. The readings for both systems are taken simultaneously.
Throughout the period, exercise at a moderate level was maintained. It is our belief that, in keeping with the findings of the Dallas bed rest study, the exercise helped to slow the decline in health.
The exercise also appears to have mitigated the loss of muscle mass, but only in those muscle groups that were being exercised. In the other muscle groups there is a visible loss of muscle mass.
From a scientific viewpoint, based on a sample of one, these results have little relevance. They do however provide the basis for more detailed study.
